Easy Liver Flush
/This is a simple, easy, gentle liver flush recipe that you can use any time of the year but the Spring time is the season for the Liver to really enjoy a good stimulating flush to clean out all the winter doldrums and “cobwebs”
You can expect to enjoy a “spring” of energy and a feeling of “zipper dee dooda” and vitality as well as improving your digestion of fats. The Liver works so hard for us doing over 500 different “jobs” and helping to maintain a healthy balance in our body. Most people don’t know that the liver is involved in metabolism, hormone balance and even your moods! Supporting liver is always a great investment into your health and digestion.
I like to do this about 2x week in the spring but you could choose to do it every day for about 10 days to take the flush deeper and get more of a clean out.
It definitely has a lot of ZING so please enjoy and boost your LIVE-ER so watch out!
Blend the following:
1 organic whole lemon, (pulp, rind, seeds and all)
1 - 2 tablespoons of organic extra virgin olive oil
1 1/2 cups of filtered water
( optional: add 2 organic peeled garlic cloves)
Strain the blended drink through a strainer to remove the pulp. Discard pulp. Divide the remaining liquid into four equal portions of approximately 1/4 cup each. Consume a portion with each of the three daily meals and before bedtime.
In addition to stimulating lymphatic flow, this drink increases the flow of bile from the liver and gallbladder and also enhances one's ability to digest essential fatty acids through the “Peyer's patches” in the small intestine.
OPTION: If a whole lemon is too much then try starting out with 1-2 tablespoons of fresh organic lemon juice instead then work up to the entire lemon for a shot of zing! Do not use artificial lemon juice.
